Pre/Post Massage is used before, during after a Physical Activity. Sport Massage is tailored to the needs of the individual. Pre match massage with a high stimulation when the individual is preparing for a competition or Training. Techniques are applied to help encourage circulation. Post Massage which is a Heavy Deep Massage, would be applied after a Sport or Exercise, the techniques are applied to help relieve Muscular Soreness and assists in the removal of Waste products such as Lactic Acid. If a individual is resting due to Injury a Massage can be perform at least 48 hours after Injury every day or even twice a day. Myositis Ossification is a condition which is inflammation of the Bone Tissue that causes Bone to form within the Muscles of the body. Often found in young Individual or Repetitive Injury to the Muscles. If identifying an area which is Imbalanced the advice that I would give would be depending on the Sport, ie. Football, Golf, Tennis, Cricket, and Rugby, can cause Imbalance in the muscle by way of one side Trained Harder then the other. Muscles are bigger, with this type of injury, so producing more Natural Tension and more Fast Twitch Fibres. To Decrease the Imbalance the treatment and the advice, would be a Deep Massage once a week and if Training, work to Equalise Tension on both sides by working more closely for a longer period on the side which has Excessive Tension. If a individual who has never had a Sports Massage before the advice would be to have a lighter massage with more stimulation to the Muscle which would help the flow of Blood Circulation.
